Library is the place to manage resources needed to build or play your Wonders. These resources are organized into three categories, Wonders, backgrounds, and items. To manage these resources, press on one of the three buttons (Wonders, Backgrounds, and Items) at the top left corner of the Library.
The default view of the Library is set to Wonders (see screenshot). In the middle of the Wonders view, there is a list of Wonders storage bins. It shows currently loaded Wonders as well as empty bins. You must select a bin in order to perform management functions on a Wonder. An empty stroage bin is the best place to load a new Wonder. If no empty bins are available, you may empty an occupied bin by deleting the current Wonder inside it. Loading a Wonder into an occupied bin will replace the Wonder already in it. If you want to use a bin but don’t want to lose the Wonder inside, you can publish the existing wonder to a local archive. The four functions for managing Wonders are described below: Load Wonder: This button brings up an interface view to direct you through the Wonder searching and downloading process. Enter the Wonder type and filtering criteria, a list of Wonders available for download will be displayed. Please note that downloading into an occupied bin will erase your previous Wonder. Save Wonder: A selected Wonder can be saved to eWonders server or archive on your device. You can save a wonder to the server as public, private, or commercial usage. Publish Wonder: A selected Wonder can be published and played as a Web page. Only public and commercial Wonders can be published and transformed to a Web page. Delete Wonder: Empty the selected bin and make room for another Wonder. An emptied bin will have no title.
Pressing the backgrounds button at the top left corner changes the Library view to manage background images. A background image can have up to 10 bundled item images. Both background images and bundled items images are displayed on the right side of the Library view as thumbnail. A yellow outline around a background thumbnail indicates which background image is currently associated with the displayed bundled item images (see screenshot). Pressing a background thumbnail will place the yellow outline around it and display bundled item images assoicated with it. A background image creates a background for a scene in the Wonder, and it should have an aspect ratio of 3:2. The preferred dimension for a background image is 960x640. This version of eWonders limits storage of 10 background images. The bundled item images are item images to be placed on top of the background. An item image does not have any aspect restriction, and its maximum dimesnion is 512x512. Bundled item images only appear with their designated background image when you build your Wonder. If you feel an item image will be used by more backgrounds, select it as a common item image instead. Pressing the items button at the top left corner changes the Library to manage common item images. A common item image has no aspect ratio requirement and the same size requirement as a bundled item image. This version of eWondershas limits storage of 20 common item images. Unlike the bundled item image, the common item image can used with any background image.
